Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. As a result of this increasing demand for our services we are looking for a Lead Civil Engineer to join our CS&A team on the Lightly Shielded Store 1 (LSS1) Project. LSS1 is a 7200m2 footprint major project new build on the Sellafield site. It will be a new class of Intermediate Level Waste store for Sellafield with a design life of 100 years.

The project is in the Preliminary Design Stage, with the Civil Design well advanced within the stage.

As a Lead Civil Engineer some of your responsibilities could include:

• Work with the CS& A Responsible Engineer and Area Engineering Manager to plan the delivery of the civil design scope throughout the design and construction stages, monitor and manage delivery against schedule and elevate risks.

• Lead the Civil team of Engineers and Designers within CS& A and represent the Civil discipline at cross discipline meetings within the project or with stakeholders. The team is likely to be provided by an external consultant working on packages of work.
