Job Summary
Bradford Theatres are looking to recruit a permanent Deputy Box Office Manager to join a vibrant and busy team. In this role you will oversee the efficient and effective operation of the Box Office sales team, working alongside other managers to maintain Bradford Theatres’ position as a leading arts and entertainment organisation in the north.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop the Box Office sales team.
- Maximise the use and potential of the Ticketing and Customer Relationship Management System (Spektrix).
- Ensure delivery of efficiencies across all sales channels – online, telephone call centre, face‑to‑face counter and agency.
- Uphold excellent customer service to maximise revenue and enhance the reputation of Bradford Theatres.
- Show initiative, make decisions within broad guidelines and demonstrate resilience under pressure.
- Adapt working practices in line with changing service needs.
- Extensive management / leadership experience, preferably within the arts / leisure sector.
- Proven track record of working in a theatre or similar environment.
- Appropriate qualification relevant to the sales / customer service industry (e.g., Business Administration, Institute of Sales and Marketing Management, Institute of Customer Service) or equivalent.
- Flexibility to meet important deadlines and ability to work unsociable hours – evenings, weekends and public holidays – as required by the shift system in the Box Office department and venues outside the city centre.
Bradford Council owns and runs four venues: the Alhambra Theatre, the Studio, St George’s Hall (all city centre) and King’s Hall & Winter Gardens in Ilkley.
