Our client, a well-established, large-scale manufacturing business in Shipley operating within a global group, is recruiting a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Finance sits at the heart of operational decision‑making here, with rigorous reporting standards and a close‑knit finance team that values discipline, accuracy and collaborative working.

This hands‑on finance role has been created to provide real capacity in a busy finance function during a period of change. Working directly alongside the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of core month‑end accounting activities and keep day‑to‑day financial operations running smoothly. There is genuine scope to make an impact quickly.

• Preparing monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets to tight deadlines
• Maintaining the integrity of financial records across One Stream and JD Edwards (JDE) ERP systems
• Supporting SOX compliance, internal and external audit requirements
• Coordinating with cost accountants and supporting the wider finance team
• Monitoring cost‑saving initiatives and reporting on progress
• Acting as a key day‑to‑day contact for external reporting requirements throughout the year

• Part‑qualified accountant – actively studying CIMA, ACCA or ACA
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial finance environment
• Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets)
• Experience with JDE, SAP or IBS systems is advantageous
• Awareness of SOX controls and audit processes
• A strong communicator who thrives on deadlines
