Service Charge Officer
Location:
Hybrid, Bradford, in the office approximately once a month.
Salary: £27,554 per annum.
Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.

They're looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Service Charge Officer to join their Finance team.
What You'll Be Doing- Supporting the preparation of service charge budgets, forecasts and year‑end accounts.
- Assisting with the calculation and allocation of service charge costs in line with occupancy agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and service charge data.
- Producing customer communications and financial information with a high level of accuracy.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies and identifying potential issues.
- Supporting key finance processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Working closely with the Service Charge Accountant and wider Finance team to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in systems, processes and reporting.
The spot salary for this post is £27,554 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you are still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.
About you- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including experience working with formulas, large datasets and data manipulation.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to strict deadlines.
- A sound understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Experience using finance systems and working with financial data.
- Part‑qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (or actively working towards qualification).
- A proactive team player with excellent organisational skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
