As a key member of our Finance Reporting and Control function, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with Anchor’s policies and procedures.

You’ll lead and support a team of five within Finance Control and Assets, planning and prioritising workloads, providing guidance, and helping your colleagues develop their skills and confidence. You’ll also act as a trusted deputy to the Finance Reporting Manager and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring controls are appropriate and complied, reporting on fixed assets, preparing financial statements and regulatory reports to supporting our Finance transformation projects and playing a lead role in the annual statutory audit.

You’ll bring:
  • Experience working preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations (essential)
  • Significant experience with accounting for and reporting on fixed assets (essential)
  • Line management experience communication and leadership skills – with the confidence to support and motivate others (essential)
  • Great communication and leadership skills – with the confidence to support and motivate others
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel and financial systems (essential)
  • The ability to drive continuous improvement in financial accounting processes through the effective use of technology, automation and AI-enabled solutions, while maintaining robust financial controls. (desirable)
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities (essential)
Qualifications:
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent higher education qualification (desirable)
