Credit Controller

JHE & Partners are working with a successful group of businesses in Bradford who are looking to recruit a credit controller on a permanent basis. The company continues to thrive, having doubled turnover over the last three years recording a healthy profit. Due to retirement within the team, the vacancy has arisen for an ambitious credit controller to join the business.

Working in a small finance team of four, the credit function is massively important for the cashflow of the business. The client is open to experience; someone with a wealth of credit control experience would fit in well and would have full ownership of the function, streamline processes and improve the overall function. Alternatively, the client is open to seeing candidates with less experience but can demonstrate strong ambition to grow into the role.

The business has solid growth plans therefore the chosen.

Duties include:

• Sole responsibility for a ledger with approximately six hundred live accounts
• Open new accounts
• Proactively chase outstanding cash owed to the business by telephone and email
• Dealing with all cash-related queries
• Working with multi-site across the group
• Negotiating payment plans
• Allocating all cash and reconciling accounts
• Providing debt analysis and monthly reports including risk exposure
• Ad hoc support for the purchase ledger function
• Assist with audit queries

Offering a salary in the region of £28,000 - £32,000, with wider benefits including private health cover, I would urge anyone seeking an exciting credit position to apply immediately.
