Environmental Health Officer

Seven Resourcing are recruiting an experienced Environmental Health Officer in Bradford.

This is a hybrid contract role within the Environmental Health Service, covering a complex caseload across housing, environmental health enforcement, and public protection
.

You will be responsible for delivering statutory and discretionary Environmental Health and Housing functions across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role involves enforcement, investigation, professional advice, and court work.

• Investigating and resolving Environmental Health & Housing complaints
• Carrying out inspections and enforcement activity
• Preparing and serving statutory notices
• Initiating and supporting legal proceedings
• Acting as an authorised officer and attending court/tribunals
• Providing high-level technical advice to officers, members, businesses, and the public
• Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records
• Managing complex and sensitive enforcement cases
• Supervising technical support staff where required

To be considered, you must have:

• Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health (CIEH recognised)
• Registered Environmental Health Practitioner (EHRB or CIEH Chartered status)
• Minimum 12 months post-qualification EHO experience (including placement)
• Strong experience with enforcement notices and legal proceedings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage complex and confrontational situations professionally
• Full UK driving licence

• Hybrid working (Bradford-based when required)
• Work across residential, commercial, and industrial environments
