We are looking for an officer to support the delivery ofaNature Space Partnership GCNdistrictlevellicenceacross Warwickshire,Coventry & Solihull local authorities.
You will work closely withthe
Nature Space Partnership ,developers, private sector ecologists, andthe wider team to provide a complete package of supportforthe delivery ofthedistrictlevellicencefor GCN.You will raise awareness of the scheme within the local planning authorities, understand planning and licensing requirements, and monitor and advise on compliance and enforcement measures.
You’llbecovering everything fromidentifyingGCN constraints within planning applications, to supporting the creation of compensatory habitats. To do thisyou’llbe providing guidance to both developers and team members.
The post is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of ecological planning advice.
Agood knowledge ofgreat crested newt ecology and planning application processes would be an advantage, but all guidance and training will be given.
You will be joining a dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced team comprising
14 ecological officers,five historic environment officers, andtwolandscape architects.
We are looking for candidates who can integrate well with the existing team, bringing their current skills and an enthusiasm to expand their expertise. Our workforce training plan supports active progression from apprentices to Service Managers,following the respective chartered institute competency frameworks (or equivalent).
