Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for providing hospital services for the people of Bradford and communities across Yorkshire. We serve a core population of around 500,000 people and provide specialist services for some 1.1 million. Our 5,500 staff work over several sites, including Bradford Royal Infirmary, which provides the majority of inpatient services, St Lukes Hospital, which predominantly provides outpatient and rehabilitation services, and local community hospitals such as Eccleshill, Westwood Park, Westbourne Green, Shipley, and others.

Working pattern:
Part‑time – 34.5 hours per week (18 short shifts of 7.5 hours or 12 long shifts of 11.5 hours per 4‑week period, including weekends and evenings up to 10pm).

Salary: £23,615 per annum (pro‑rata, yearly).

Grade: NHS AfC Band 2.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated ward clerk to join our dynamic and forward‑thinking team at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will work in our Children and Young Peoples unit.

Part‑time (34.5 hours per week) – days and evenings up to 10pm including weekends. Shifts vary: short shifts (7.5 hours) x18 per month or long shifts (11.5 hours) x12 per month.

The role involves providing a range of clerical duties to support the team in delivering a high‑quality service.

• Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
• Previous experience in a secretarial/administrative role

• Experience of working in health service
• Knowledge/experience of EPR
• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Literate and numerate
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing

• Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
• Good general education
