A unique opportunity has arisen for a practitioner to play a central role in the ongoing development and provision of a specialist early childhood (0-6 years) CAMHS offer.
The Specialist Early Attachment and Development (SEADs) Service is a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team covering the Bradford, Keighley and Craven District. We are a compact dedicated team integrating clinical psychology, specialist occupational therapy and child psychotherapy. We have a depth of experience in working with children and families during the earliest years of life. We work with very vulnerable families where there are grave concerns around the family psychology, child development, attachment relationships and complex intergenerational trauma.
We have a very calibrated service offer comprising consultation, thorough interventive assessment, and a range of therapeutic programmes (including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP);
Video Interaction Guidance (VIG);
Circle of Security (CoS);
Reflective/Mentalization based Parenting (MBT-f) & Child Psychotherapy. We adopt a trans-ecological and multicultural framework to understanding child developmental wellbeing. In addition, the CPP programme, has enabled us to take on an international presence in the field of early childhood trauma., This is a unique opportunity for you to join a highly committed friendly team to:
- Work alongside the clinical team to further develop SEADs breadth of reach and capacity.
- Research, design, implement and evaluate the SEADs short to mid-range early childhood offer.
- Supervise and guide assistants and clinical psychology trainees with the implementation of the programmes designed.
