LOCATION SALARY

£26,226 - £30,600 dependant on experience and qualifications.

ABOUT

THE ROLE

The Trainee Behaviour Analyst will be supported to manage and work directly with a caseload of complex clients, delivering assessments and interventions that lead to positive changes for the individual, their families and wider network of support. This will require being flexible in approach, working in person and through other mediums where required, be solution and values focused, with an ability to maintain resilience under pressure.

To be successful in this role, the Trainee Behaviour Analyst will be expected to:

  • Have a high degree of empathy and a strong value-base.
  • Communicate calmly and effectively in situations which may be emotionally or physically challenging.
  • Collaboratively engage a client and their network in the process of our support and identify quality of life goals.
  • Follow all policy and procedures in relation to safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management.
  • Maintain the highest standards of record keeping including electronic data entry and recording through professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice, data security requirements and GDPR principles.
  • Hold up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies, and issues in relation to both the specific client group, Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Make full use of the clinical supervision offered, focused on development to a PBS Practitioner qualification (i.e.: BTEC Level 4 or
    5)

Trainees will be supported to
:

  • Undertake functional behaviour assessments (FBA), practical functional assessments, and/or other relevant assessments to the service specification to develop formulations for clients under the supervision of a qualified staff (e.g.: PBS Practitioner, BCBA®, UKBA(cert), etc.).
  • Write high-quality assessment reports and present findings to clients, their families / carers and network under the supervision of a qualified staff.
  • Plan interventions based on assessment report findings with support from a qualified staff.
  • Deliver intervention plans with the client in the community or at different locations as required
  • Apply behaviour analytic and PBS principles and technologies to develop effective, function-based interventions and behaviour support plans (BSP).
  • Collect accurate data and analyse progress towards identified goals.
  • Train mediators in interventions outlined in the client’s BSP.
  • Inspire networks to actively commit to client support.
