We are delighted to offer the opportunities for motivated, driven and dynamic Occupational Therapists to join our Orthopaedic Therapy team in either a Band 6 position, or a developmental band 5 to band 6 position.
You will work as part of a supportive, forward-thinking multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality rehabilitation across the trauma and Orthopaedic pathway, based at Bradford Royal Infimary.

We welcome interest from Band 5's seeking the opportunity to work towards a B6 role as part of a development post.
Main duties of the jobWorking alongside a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and support workers to provide rehabilitation and support patients across elective orthopaedics pathways, trauma including general trauma, Hip fractures and major trauma. The post holder will also support H-fast (home first discharge to assess) working alongside our Multi Agency Discharge Team.
There may be a requirement for the post holder to work flexibly in other areas as required, including different hospital sites and community settings including domiciliary visits. The post may involve working across 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays.

Person specification Experience- Substantial post-graduate experience, including recent experience in an NHS setting.
- Relevant and recent experience working in rehabilitation across a range of clinical areas
- Previous clinical experience in orthopaedic rehabilitation
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working and working collaboratively with other professions and agencies
- Experience of managing a caseload and discharge planning
- Experience of developing or contributing to service improvement projects
- Car driver, with access to vehicle with business insurance for work
- Experience working with and assessing adults with complex needs in community and in patient setting
- Experience of supervision / mentoring of junior OT's, students and support staff
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
- Competent in core areas of Occupational Therapy practice
