Health Care Support Worker with Mental care

Ø Assist residents with all aspects of personal care e.g. washing and dressing Ø Assist residents with mobility - including moving and handling equipment Ø Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities Ø Complete all documentation as requested by the manager/nurse Ø Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home Ø Ensure all policies and guidelines are followed by all staff members Ø Act as a mentor to all new care assistants and ensure they are working to their role Ø Attend all in house and external training as required Ø Report any issues or changes in a residents condition to the nurse in charge Please NOTE we are not able to support applications that require sponsorship.

• Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments with a focus on mental health or developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care,Schizophrenia care, memory care, and hospice support is highly desirable
• Familiarity with patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other behavioral health conditions is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in a similar role in the UK for at least 1 year in a Nursing Home
• Flexibility in working hours and the ability to adapt to different healthcare settings.
• Right to work in the UK for at least 12-month without need of sponsorship

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Shifts are 33-44 hours per week Hourly rate of £12.81
