PHARMACY SERVICES
Bank Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, Band 7
Salary : £52,845 - £61,466
NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Services is seeking experienced hospital pharmacists to join our Staff Bank, supporting the Acute Pharmacy Service at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Our acute pharmacy department provides clinical and operational services across medicine, unscheduled care, ageing and health, surgery, critical care, women and children's services and other specialist areas such as Oncology and Mental Health. Bank pharmacists may also be asked to support the dispensary and other key services according to operational need as directed by the Lead Pharmacists for Acute, Oncology and Mental Health.
The role will involve providing specialist, patient-focused pharmaceutical care, offering expert medicines advice, reviewing complex prescribing and supporting safe and effective medicines use. You may also provide day-to-day support and direction to junior pharmacy colleagues.
Applicants should have significant post-registration experience, including relevant hospital pharmacy and clinical experience. We are looking for adaptable and motivated pharmacists who can work autonomously, respond flexibly to service pressures and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
Applicants must hold an MPharm degree or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Previous hospital pharmacy experience would be advantageous. The ability to work independently, as part of a multidisciplinary team and across different service areas is essential.
