Network Engineer - Bradford (On Site) - £275 per day (Inside IR35) - 4 Months
A Network Engineer is required for our public sector client who are based in Bradford. The successful candidate will bring solid networking experience and a collaborative approach to supporting critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
- Assist with firewall rule changes and basic policy management (Palo Alto or similar)
- Support VPN and remote access solutions
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts using tools like Solar Winds or PRTG
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
- Participate in change and incident management processes
- Experience in network support or engineering roles
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network diagnostics
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment (CCNA-level knowledge)
- Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and/or Cisco ISE to implement wired and wireless network access control and micro-segmentation
- Experience with fibre and copper cable management (data centre clean‑ups)
- Familiarity with NAC solutions and enterprise network security practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
