Plant Fitter

Location:

Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £46,000 – £53,000 basic
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00 + overtime

Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire company to support the growth of their engineering team. With over 30 years of industry experience, our client continues to expand and is now looking to recruit engineers from plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural backgrounds.

The Role
  • Travel to client sites to carry out maintenance and repairs on plant machinery
  • Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers
  • Support and train customers on machinery operation where required
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports
  • Liaise with internal engineering teams to improve equipment performance
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within the plant industry (essential)
  • Strong hydraulics knowledge with mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Engine experience (desirable)
  • Proven fault-finding, service, and repair experience
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds) – advantageous
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to grow and potentially lead a team
  • Full UK driving licence
