Base pay range

We are looking for a skilled and values driven Risk and Compliance Manager to join our Central Team at Beckfoot Trust. This is a pivotal role, ensuring our schools maintain high standards of statutory and regulatory compliance while supporting our vision to deliver exceptional education and help pupils achieve top 10% outcomes in a remarkable learning environment.

You will lead and advise colleagues on Health and Safety and GDPR compliance, ensuring our practices meet and exceed legislation and regulation. This role involves regular contact with children and contributes directly to their safety and welfare.

LOCATION:
Beckfoot School, Bingley

WORKING PATTERN: 37 hours per week all year round - flexible working opportunities available

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote high compliance standards in Health & Safety, GDPR, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advise and support leaders on risk management, safeguarding procedures, and operational compliance.
  • Oversee the Trust’s risk registers, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Act as the competent person for Health & Safety under UK regulations.
  • Serve as the Trust’s Data Protection Officer, managing GDPR compliance, data breaches, DPIAs, and FOI requests.
  • Liaise with Public Health and other external agencies on compliance-related issues.
  • Develop and deliver policies, training, and operational procedures to ensure consistent standards across all schools.
  • Monitor and report compliance performance to the Executive and Trustees.
