This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1-2 days in the office a week – Bradford/Leeds)

The IT Senior Project Manager leads the successful delivery of complex projects, with accountability for governance, budgets, risks, quality, resources, stakeholders, and benefits realisation. The role requires strong strategic thinking, effective decision-making, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders to ensure projects deliver sustainable value and positive outcomes for Yorkshire Water, its customers, and colleagues.
Where you fit in As our IT Senior Project Manager, you will- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, taking full accountability for scope, governance, execution, and successful outcomes.
- Establish and maintain effective project controls, including planning, monitoring, reporting, risk management, change control, and quality assurance.
- Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, revenue management, and capital expenditure.
- Provide strong financial stewardship by monitoring project investment, resource allocation, and overall value for money.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives and deliver financial insight to support informed decision-making by senior stakeholders.
- Build, manage, and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate informed and timely decision-making through clear communication, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure robust project governance frameworks are implemented and adhered to, with effective oversight of risks, issues, changes, and project performance.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Plan and coordinate resource deployment to ensure effective utilisation, delivery capability, compliance, and alignment to quality standards.
