Our Department Managers know how to work at pace and regardless of which department they work in they all have the same goal - to deliver great food to our customers. As Department Manager - Hygiene, it's your job to manage a team of Hygiene Operatives to develop and maintain hygiene systems within the site to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.

Reporting into the Hygiene Manager you would also be responsible for:
- Developing your team through a coaching leadership style
- Overseeing the establishment of hygienic working practices across all departments as well as managing pest control and driving improvements in housekeeping across the site
- Manage the department paperwork in relations to cleaning schedules and also the labour costs for the department to accurately allocate the teams duties
- Ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards comply with BRC and Morrisons food safety standards

As well as tons of resilience you must have:
- An intermediate food safety qualification and have some training on HACCP along with COSHH and BRC knowledge
- Strong people management and leadership skills and have a proven track record of managing and engaging a team (ideally a large team that work 24/7 shifts)
- An understanding and experience of working in a high risk environment
- Understanding of cost models and experience of budgetary control and understand pest control management
- Strong leadership and coaching skills in order to engage motivate and develop large teams with varying skill sets
