Stores Controller

Lodestone Recruitment is currently working with a well-established engineering company based in Bradford, who is currently seeking an experienced Stores Controller to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering business offering long-term stability.

The Role:

As a Stores Controller, you will be responsible for managing the tooling and consumables stores, ensuring materials and equipment are available to support production efficiently.

You will also manage a part-time Storeman who supports this function.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with Production, Quality and Technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock control and managing tooling, gauges, consumables and safety equipment within stores

Ensuring items are identified, stored, moved and controlled correctly (inwards and outwards)

Kitting gauges and equipment in advance to minimise machine changeover times

Controlling dispatch and receipt of gauges and inspection equipment, including third-party calibration and quarantine processes

Leading waste stream management to ensure ISO 14001 compliance

Maintain stock and liaising with buying, quality and purchasing departments

Rationalising consumables and reducing stock where appropriate

Maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene

General housekeeping and routine safety checks

About You:

Experience as a Stock Controller or Stores Controller

Familiar with CNC machines and processes

Ideally have some tooling assembly experience

PC literate and previous MRP/ERP system experience

High attention to detail

FLT Counterbalance License

Hours:

Regular Days 39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00

Friday: 07:00 – 12:00


Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate after 39 hours.

Salary:

£32,000 - £33,500 per annum
