Steel Welder Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on structural steel and metal components while safely operating overhead cranes to move materials throughout the facility. This position requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of welding procedures, and a commitment to workplace safety.

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel according to blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work orders
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting voltage, wire feed, and gas flow
• Operate overhead cranes to safely lift, position, and transport materials and finished products
• Inspect welds for quality, penetration, and structural integrity
• Use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares) to ensure accuracy
• Grind, clean, and prepare surfaces prior to welding
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any mechanical issues
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2-5 years of MIG welding experience
• Experience operating overhead cranes (certification preferred)
• Ability to pass a welding test
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
