We are recruiting for a Skilled Machinist to join a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business operating within a modern, high‑precision production environment. This is a structured site with a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and team collaboration, producing critical components within a fast‑paced setting.

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for setting and operating machining equipment within a designated production cell. Working as part of a team, you will ensure machines are set correctly, running efficiently, and meeting production and quality targets.

• Set and operate machining equipment for yourself and other operators within the cell.
• Carry out machining operations to meet production output and delivery targets.
• Identify and report tooling or equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain optimal machine performance and efficiency during production.
• Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Support 5S and TPM standards to maintain a clean and organised working environment.
• Assist in reducing scrap and rework through collaboration with quality teams.
• Work closely with manufacturing and maintenance teams to improve processes.
• Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members.
• Maintain a professional and proactive approach to work at all times.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and respond to any risks or hazards.

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machining or similar production machinery.
• Strong setting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work across departments.
• Ability to support training and development of others.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
