Production Manager

Production Manager – Bradford – Precision Engineering

Salary: up to £60,000.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will take full ownership of the production operation, with oversight across manufacturing, planning and support functions on site. The role offers a genuine route for career progression in a business with a strong reputation for delivering precision engineered components into demanding sectors including defence and industrial.

• Lead and develop a skilled manufacturing workforce, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Take responsibility for production performance across output, quality, delivery, efficiency and cost.
• Drive improvement through KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap and rework, and OTIF.
• Oversee production planning to ensure resources are aligned to customer demand.
• Work closely with engineering, quality and sales teams to meet customer requirements.
• Champion Lean principles, 5S standards, health and safety, and support the development of manufacturing capability going forward.

• Proven experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of machining processes such as turning, milling and grinding.
• A hands‑on approach with credibility to support problem solving on the shop floor.
• Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
• Solid grasp of production planning, continuous improvement and Lean methodologies.
• Experience with in a certified manufacturing environment, subcontract manufacturing, or aerospace and defence related sectors would be an advantage.
