CNC Milling Setter / Operator | Rate: £20.00–£24.00 p/h DOE (Outside IR35)

Bradford / Bingley / Keighley / Skipton

This is a hands‑on machining role where you’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture components from castings and raw materials. You’ll be working with CNC milling machines, using existing programmes with some minor editing required where necessary.

Your day‑to‑day work will involve setting and operating CNC milling machines safely and efficiently, manufacturing components from castings and raw materials, and working from engineering drawings to achieve the required tolerances. You’ll use existing CNC programmes, make minor edits when needed, inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment, and maintain high‑quality standards throughout production. You’ll also be responsible for keeping your work area safe and organised, supporting stock control and ensuring production targets and timescales are met.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need practical machining experience, ideally as a CNC Milling Setter / Operator, with manual milling experience preferred. You’ll need to be comfortable reading engineering drawings, working accurately to tolerances and using measuring equipment to check finished components.

This is an opportunity to join an established manufacturing business and play a key role in bringing machining work in‑house, improving component quality and helping ensure customers receive the spare parts they need. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £20–£25 per hour Outside IR35, regular weekday hours and the opportunity for additional overtime.
