Multi-Skilled Maintenance & Production Technician

SWIFT Temps Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance & Production Technician for our client based in Bradford on a permanent basis.

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum + discretionary annual bonus (up to 5%)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours:

38 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 07:45 am – 04:00 pm

Friday: 07:45 am – 03:15 pm (with a 30-minute daily lunch break)

• Machinery Support:
  Safely set up, adjust, and operate machine shop and assembly processes to meet daily output goals.
• Quality & Efficiency:
  Perform quality inspections, assist with product assembly/packaging, and champion workplace organization (5S).
• Continuous Improvement:
  Identify and implement engineering tweaks that boost machine reliability, reduce waste, and improve workplace safety.

• Qualified Engineer:
  Time‑served engineer with a recognized qualification (NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
• Proven Track Record:
  Solid experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, with strong mechanical fault‑finding and a deep understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Technical Literacy:
  Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals easily.
• The Right Mindset:
  Highly flexible, self‑motivated, and equally happy fixing a complex breakdown or operating production machinery alongside the team.

• Electrical qualifications (18th Edition, City & Guilds) or PLC fault‑finding experience.
• CNC operation and programming experience.
• Welding, fabrication skills, or a valid Forklift license.
• Prior experience in a machine shop or light manufacturing environment.
