We have a vacancy for an exceptionally organised and highly motivated individual with a background in epidemiology, statistics, psychology, child development, public health, applied health research or a related quantitative discipline to work on the BiBBS cohort within Born in Bradford.
The successful candidate will use BiBBS data (longitudinal cohort data and linked routine records) to undertake research into the drivers of contemporary child inequities and the evaluation of early preventative interventions to address these inequities. They will contribute to the development of research questions, prepare and analyse complex datasets, support data linkage and harmonisation, write statistical analysis plans, and apply appropriate quantitative methods to address applied child health and public health research questions
Main duties of the jobThe postholder will be part of the Born in Bradford Epistats team and will work closely with colleagues in BiBBS and the wider Born in Bradford research programme. They will contribute to high-quality, reproducible analysis, data preparation, documentation, statistical advice and, where required, support for approved data extracts.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile applied research programme with real potential to improve outcomes for children, families and communities in Bradford and beyond.
