Trainee Debt Advisor (Bradford support hub based)
Assessment day: 18 February 2026. Full‑time training starts 13 April for 8 weeks. Hybrid working after training.
Job OverviewWhether you have experience or new, you will develop skills to join our Service Delivery team. Confidence with numbers, excellent customer service, compassion, and emotional resilience are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Build client budgets and create tailored advice plans.
- Negotiate with creditors to establish sustainable payment plans.
- Resolve client queries via phone, email, SMS.
- Complete classroom training, phone training, and sign‑off stages.
- Maintain records, update budgets, and comply with CAP policies.
- Work collaboratively with teammates and partners.
- Demonstrate resilience and patience with complex clients.
- Engage in prayer and worship activities as required.
- A‑Level education or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong numerical skills and confident computer use.
- Ability to analyse complex situations and handle large workloads.
- High emotional resilience.
- Commitment to Christian beliefs and CAP’s Statement of Faith.
- Starting salary £25,810; progression to £27,960 within 12 months, then £29,926 after 2 years.
- Employer pension 6.5% (increasing to 10%).
- 34 days annual holiday, increasing to 39 days.
- 2 paid mental health days per year and up to 5 family emergency leave days.
