Hamilton Woods Associates are working with a charity that is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work with males fleeing domestic violence.

Responsibilities of the Supported Housing Officer includes:

Providing housing and tenancy related support to males fleeing domestic violenc
Identifying their needs and agreeing a programme of support via floating support, telephone support or housing related support.
Ensuring that the telephone helpline is staffed
Referring men into the crash pad accommodation and to ensure that they get a high level of support in order for them to move on into more appropriate accommodation.
Supporting men living wirhin dispersed units of longer term accommodation
Managing referrals and conducting needs and risk assessments
Conducting health and safety checks
Completing inductions
Ensuring clients adhere to their tenancy agreements
Fostering joint working with other agencies and services to provide holistic support
Assisting with benefit applications

Essential criteria of the Supported Housing Officer include:

Enhanced DBS or willingess to undergo one

Experience with vulnerable clients within a housing support capacity
UK driving license and access to own vehicle
