Position Details

3x permanent full time (37 hours) and 1x fixed term contract (until March 2030) full time (37 hours).

Job Summary

The Housing Options Service is responsible for discharging Bradford Council’s statutory duties towards customers in housing need. We are looking for dynamic staff who can work in a busy, front‑line environment, with a large team. The role involves working with vulnerable customers, preventing their homelessness and achieving sustainable long‑term outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with vulnerable customers, preventing homelessness and achieving sustainable long‑term outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Recent demonstrable practical work experience in a housing‑related environment providing advice on prevention of homelessness, housing advice and assistance.
  • Knowledge of homelessness assessments under S184, including application of relevant legislation, case law, the Homelessness Code of Guidance 1996 and Homeless Reduction Act 2017 is advantageous.
  • At least NVQ Level 4 in a relevant discipline such as Housing, Housing Advice, Social Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
