Bradford has established a new Children and Families Trust, commissioned by Bradford Council to deliver a wide range of services for children, young people and families. We are now seeking a committed and motivated Family Hubs Community Engagement Co‑ordinator to help us deliver high‑quality, inclusive and impactful services across our localities.
Key Responsibilities Planning & DeliveryPlan, coordinate and quality‑assure outreach, groups and open access activities across the locality. Develop delivery plans that engage vulnerable, seldom‑heard and non‑engaging families. Work with the Hub Manager and partners to assess local needs and measure impact.
Leadership & SupervisionProvide induction, supervision and appraisal to designated staff delivering outreach and open access activities. Oversee workloads, involvements and episodes to ensure families receive timely, appropriate support. Support staff wellbeing and manage HR issues with guidance from HR and service managers.
Partnership & SafeguardingWork collaboratively with professionals across the locality to deliver tailored activities. Ensure families can be stepped up to Family Support or safeguarding services when required. Understand and work within legal frameworks, policies and procedures relevant to children and families.
Quality & ImprovementContribute to quality assurance, reporting and practice development. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date case records in line with local and national requirements. Support service planning, review and participation of children and families. Contribute to training, mentoring and supporting students, apprentices and volunteers.
About YouWe are looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and who brings both experience and leadership potential.
Essential Qualifications- NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent child‑related qualification).
- NVQ Level 3 considered with significant relevant experience and willingness to work towards Level 4.
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Significant recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families.
- Experience supervising staff, students or volunteers.
- Experience delivering community engagement activities.
- Ability to communicate fluently and confidently with members of the public.
- Generous annual leave – 31 days rising to 34 with service, plus bank holidays.
