About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference for children and families? Bradford Children and Families Trust are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Help Coordinator to support the implementation of our Early Help and Prevention Strategy. You will play a key role in improving outcomes for children by supporting schools and partner agencies to deliver high-quality early help interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage proactively with schools and agencies to plan and support staff in the Lead Practitioner role.
  • Provide regular advice, consultation, and guidance to Designated Safeguarding Leads and senior school staff regarding pupils of concern.
  • Coach, role model, and co-work with practitioners, including chairing Team Around the Child/Family (TAF) meetings.
  • Support workforce development, building confidence and skills in early help practice.
  • Develop and share practical tools and guidance to support effective early help casework.
  • Network with local and district-wide agencies to strengthen partnership working.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by analysing and responding to management information.
  • Quality assure multi‑agency early help activity and challenge practice where necessary.
About You
  • Recent experience as a Lead Practitioner/Professional working with vulnerable children and families using a whole family approach.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of prevention and early help theory and practice.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policy, and guidance for early help and family support interventions.
  • Experience in action planning, quality assurance, and providing high‑quality advice to practitioners.
  • A sound understanding of the Continuum of Need and Risk Identification Tool.
  • Knowledge of coaching or adult learning approaches.
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Relevant professional qualification (Level 4 Working with Parents or equivalent, or adult teaching certificate/management/practice qualification).
  • Ability to speak fluently and confidently in English (this will be tested at interview).
