Salary: £38,220 - £46,142 per annum
- £3,000 Retention Payment

Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Bradford Council for experienced Duty & Assessment Social Workers to join the West Locality Team based at Farcliffe Family Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic frontline service where your assessments and interventions will have an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.
The Role As a Duty & Assessment Social Worker, you'll be at the forefront of Children's Services, responding to new referrals, assessing risk and ensuring children receive timely, effective interventions.
Working within a restorative and relationship-based practice model, you'll complete high-quality assessments, work collaboratively with partner agencies and ensure permanence planning begins from the earliest stages of a child's journey. This role is ideal for practitioners who enjoy working at pace while maintaining high professional standards and delivering child-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities- Complete timely assessments following new referrals.
- Manage Duty and Assessment caseloads across the West Locality.
- Undertake Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) assessments.
- Progress Public Law Outline (Pre-Proceedings) and Public Law cases where appropriate.
- Develop robust safety plans and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with education, health, police and partner agencies.
- Build positive relationships with children and families using restorative practice.
- Ensure permanence planning begins at the earliest opportunity.
We're seeking experienced practitioners with experience of:
- Duty & Assessment
- Child in Need (CIN)
- Child Protection (CP)
- Public Law Outline (Pre-Proceedings)
- Public Law / Care Proceedings
- Safeguarding and risk assessment
- Fast-paced statutory Children's Services
- Restorative and relationship-based practice
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working within UK Children's Social Care
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
- Ability to work effectively within a busy frontline team
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Salary between £38,220 - £46,142
- £3,000 Retention Payment
