** Our service is continuing to grow as we further embed Family Group Decision Making at the heart of our practice with families and increase our Family Group Conference offer for families.

As a Family Group Conference Coordinator, you will build meaningful relationships with children, young people, parents, and their wider family networks, creating a safe and supportive space for everyone to be heard.

Through skilled engagement and collaboration, you will help families come together to explore their strengths, identify solutions, and develop their own plans to address concerns and support positive outcomes.

By empowering families to make decisions and draw on the support of those who know and care about them best, you will play a key role in helping children remain safely connected to their family and community networks.

** You’ll also:
*** Be responsible for the planning, coordination, facilitation and review of Family Group Conferences and reviews in Bradford in a way that responds appropriately to the needs of individual families from a diverse of backgrounds.
* Complete discussions in line with our entitlement for Family Group Conferencing and maintain appropriate records that will be shared with families and partner professionals.
* Exercise a high degree of independence to initiate and expertise in to coordinate Family Group Conferences and be responsible for preparing families and professionals to come together to develop and agree safe plans for children.
* Convene Family Group Conferences that empower families and ensure that they can be fully involved in safe decision making and planning for their children
* Ensure the Family Group Conferencing model adheres to the Bradford Children’s and Families Trust model of delivery.
* Undertake all administrative duties associated with a Family Group Conference and review, including facilitating the Family Group Conference, agreeing, writing up and circulating the family plan in line with Bradford Children and Families Trust Family Group Conferencing policies.
* Build effective professional relationships with Children’s Social Care to embed a high-quality Family Group Conferencing services across the district.
** To be successful in this role you will need:
*** Up to date continuous & recent experience working directly with children, and parents as part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan and support change in families.
* Experience of convening Family Group Conferencing’s and/or chairing meetings that involve families, children and young people.
* To have completed Family Group Conference facilitator training through an accredited organisation (Desirable)
* A relevant Level 3 professional qualification related to working with children, young people and parents and evidence of on-going training and CDP
* Able to apply anti discriminatory practice and approaches in their day-to-day interactions with colleagues, children and their families in order to challenge bias, prejudice and intolerance.
