Transport Planner

Our client offers a complete end to end supply chain service, from source to shelf. It covers all aspects ofglobal supply chain management .

As part of current expansion plans due to new contracts won, a vacancy has arisen for a Transport Planner to join the Transport Office. You will be expected to work as part of the team and help coordinate the smooth running of the supply chain.

• Previous experience within a transport office or planning/operational role.
• Experience of working within a busy planning team
• Use of planning systems / Dynamic Scheduling
• Excellent understanding of Drivers Hours, Working Time Regulations and other compliancy issues relevant to Transport and Logistics.

• Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to prioritise and balance a multitude of conflicting demands.
• Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent time management, and organisational skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Good Geographical knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well with both colleagues and customers
