Trainee Freight forwarder

Trainee freight forwarder for Air freight for a Air freight forwarder in the Bradford area, £26-29k, chance to learn Air freight forwarding and to work in a growing sector. The freight forwarding sector is massive and everything that is imported or exported from the UK uses a freight forwarder to coordinate the route for the freight.

As a Trainee Freight forwarder you will ensure the air freight goes well. You will be trained to do the paperwork, plan the air freight, ensure the paperwork in ontime for the import or export of good by air freight, you will also ensure the cutoms clearance paperwork is also in place. This Trainee freight forwarder includes all the standard duties of a Trainee freight forwarder.

This role will evolve into a freight forwarder role as you learn all the parts of air freight.

We are looking for a trainee freight forwarder with great customer care skills, good phone skills, attention to detail and willing to learn. If you have an understanding of logistics, that would be a added benefit but not essential.

Due to the nature of a air freight forwarder role, it is a CAA regulation that candidate will need to have a 5 year background check with no gaps that can not be accounted for.

Freight forwarders are the middle person between the manufacturer and the retailer/whole seller; they are the people who coordinate the route for good and ensure the paperwork for imports or exports is inplace.
