HGV Class 1 Driver Tramping​/Nights-Out

D  Group, acting as a Recruitment Business, are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Tramping/Nights-Out to work at our client who are a household name in the Driving Industry, in Bolton, Manchester. Our client is a long-term small family business and have been in road haulage since the late 1940s and are very well established. They are based in Bolton and currently have 5 drivers in their team.

This role is a temporary ongoing position. The Job Working for a well-recognised road haulage company. Little to no handball work, 95% of their work is to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide. Basic contracted hours are 40 hours plus overtime (usually between 15-20). Monday to Friday 3 to 4 night-outs per week Night out rate is £26 per night-out Brand new Sleeper Cab vehicle (fridge and all up to date facilities) You are paid a minimum 8 hours per shift.

Uniform is provided. Minimum age of 25 years old with a minimum of 6 months experience required. Key Skills Required Class 1 (Category CE) Licence Entitlement. In Date CPC Card and Tacho Card. Physically fit and able to carry out the role. Excellent Geographical knowledge. Excellent Communication skills. Excellent Customer service skills. A sound understanding of the WTD and Drivers hours rules.

The Pay (PAYE) Hourly Rate: £16.00 to £24.00 per hour Night Out Payment: £26.00 per night as a paid expense.
