Brook Street Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing logistics business in Bradford to recruit an experienced Transport Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive transport professional to join a busy transport operation, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of deliveries, collections, driver administration and customer communications across the UK and Europe.

    Between £30,000 - £34,000 DOE!

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing transport administration and daily operational paperwork
  • Updating transport, trailer and fleet tracking spreadsheets
  • Processing delivery documentation, PODs and collection notes
  • Booking deliveries and collections via phone and email
  • Liaising with customers regarding delivery schedules and delays
  • Supporting drivers and processing transport documentation at the traffic window
  • Communicating with UK and international drivers
  • Assisting with second-run planning and transport scheduling
  • Supporting planning activities during periods of holiday or absence
  • Maintaining driver files, agency driver records and compliance documentation
  • Reviewing vehicle defect reports and escalating maintenance requirements
  • Processing freight and parcel consignments
  • Providing operational support across warehouse and transport functions when required
  • Producing transport reports and analysing operational data, including fuel usage
  • Working closely with the Transport Manager to support continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For Essential:
  • Previous experience working as a Transport Administrator
  • Experience with in the road freight, logistics or transport sector
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network
  • Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
