HGV Class 1 Driver (Trunking) - Heysham, Lancashire
People Solutions  are currently recruiting for  an HGV Class 1 Driver (Trunking)  to join our well-established client based in  Heysham, Lancashire  on a full-time ongoing basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to  £18.50 per hour , ongoing work, and immediate starts available with a leading logistics operation.
This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Rates of Pay:
£18.50 per hour (Nights)
Weekly pay
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Trunking runs
PM starts between 17:00 and 20:00
Ongoing assignments
Immediate starts available

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:
Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries
Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures
Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
A minimum of six months' Category CE driving experience
A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
A valid Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsement codes
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation
Strong communication skills
Training:
One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
Industry-related training
Ongoing support throughout your assignment
