The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, cGMP knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure all site utilities' reliable and compliant operation.

  • Ensure operational reliability and regulatory compliance of all systems; support root cause investigations, change controls, CAPAs, and deviations.
  • Lead or support troubleshooting efforts for utility-related equipment; develop and optimize preventative maintenance programs in coordination with the reliability engineering team.
  • Maintain and update technical documents, system drawings, SOPs, and user requirement specifications (URS).
  • Support cross-functional projects and capital improvement efforts; participate in shutdowns, tie-ins, and startup activities.
  • Oversee and support fire protection and alarm systems, solvent gas detection, and electrical control systems; ensure adherence to NFPA, OSHA, and site safety standards.
  • Assist with electrical system support, including short circuit and load studies, coordination analysis, and reviewing electrical single-line diagrams and equipment specs.
  • Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience (or 3 years with M.S.) in utility or facility engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution (138kV/15kV/480V), fire protection systems, building codes, and CMMS.
  • Experience with cGMP, FDA-regulated environments, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contractors.
