In this role you welcome customers, help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs, interact with customers throughout the day, and occasionally load merchandise. Your daily responsibilities may vary by department, such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.

• Welcome customers and deliver friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Replenish shelves and stock merchandise.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately.
• Cross‑train in other store areas.
• Prepare merchandise, such as tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds.
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying information).
• 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to stand, sit, and perform other required duties for extended periods.
• Can lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with accommodations.

• Retail or customer service experience (6 months).
• Bi‑lingual skills.
• Certification in a trade relevant to the department (hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

This role does not require regular travel; occasional travel for meetings, training, or support of neighboring stores may be required.

Working Conditions:

Environmental factors vary by location; inside and outside weather conditions, noise, and lifting guidelines (75 lbs single lift, team lifts as needed).
