Club Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure a positive member experience and a financially successful club.

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee member service to ensure all staff provides a great customer experience at all times.
• Handle front desk related tasks and provide gym tours to prospective members.
• Facilitate member service issues and questions.
• Ensure prompt opening and closing of the gym.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the gym, taking responsibility for the largest section of daily cleaning.
• Process weekly employee payroll.
• Manage marketing efforts and ensure staff is aware of and trained on all marketing material.
• Authorize expenditures and make bank deposits daily.
• Prepare all new hire forms and send them to the appropriate regional manager.
• Provide backup support for any employee who is out due to illness, etc.

  Communicate and interact with customers (including coworkers and the public) in a way that exceeds their wants and needs.
• Listening:
  Actively listen to customers, empathize, and work together to solve problems.
• Problem Solving:
  Recognize and define problems, analyze relevant information, encourage alternative solutions, and plan to resolve situations; seek additional assistance when needed.
• Diplomacy:
  Demonstrate tact and skill in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

• High school diploma.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift.
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time.
