Description
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide essential patient care in a supportive clinical environment.
As a Locum Primary Care Physician, you will deliver comprehensive medical services to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic conditions. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient outcomes and satisfaction within the medical practice industry.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement personalized patient care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
- Perform preventive care and health screenings
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Collaborate with specialists and healthcare team members
- Educate patients on health management and disease prevention
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
- Associate-level experience in primary care or related field
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Board certification or eligibility in Primary Care
- Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Any active state license for Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians are accepted.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (8a-4:30p)
No call requirement
Setting:
Outpatient
Patient Volume: 12 per day
Patient Population:
Adult and geriatric veterans
Duties:
Provide preventive care, physical exams, medication management, and diagnosis and treatment
Case Types:
Acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic conditions
EMR: CPRS
Any state license accepted
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Additional
Certifications:
DEA, ACLS, and BLS
