Essentia Health St. Josephs Medical Center has an opportunity for a casual/as needed Sonographer available to work days, evenings, weekends, and call shifts at the hospital and day shifts at the clinics in the Brainerd Lakes region. Casual employees must be available for at least 2 days per two‑week pay period. Flexibility and availability are preferred.

• Provide diagnostic ultrasound scans of patients for physician diagnosis, utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment and appropriate technical knowledge and skills.
• Complete quality assurance procedures and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Document findings accurately in patient records.
• Report to physicians and collaborate with the imaging team to ensure optimal patient care.

• Graduation from a Committee on Allied Health Education (CAHEA) accredited program in sonography.
• Registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of hire.
• Certified in one of the following areas within 12 months:
  Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast, or Nuchal Translucency.
