As an Occupational Therapist you’ll:
  • Direct patient care: continuous assessment of patient needs and functional deficits, patient care/treatment, on‑going modifications to existing plan of care as needed, ability to initiate appropriate referrals to other disciplines when needed.
  • Work closely with a skilled and dedicated interdisciplinary team in order to maximize patient satisfaction and overall success based on diagnosis and comorbidities.
  • Apply clinical expertise as necessary including but not limited to family and staff education/training, recommendations and guidance for safe and successful discharge, supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, communicating with Physicians to ensure fluency of care.
  • Complete documentation which follows regulatory guidelines (state, federal).
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Currently licensed to practice in State of MN. New graduates and temporary license holders are encouraged to apply.
  • Able to use theoretical knowledge in the rehabilitation of residents through therapeutic sessions.
  • Ongoing attendance of educational seminars to maintain license(s) as required by practice acts for CEU credits.
  • Must be patient and appreciative of realistic needs and goals of all clients.
  • Genuine interest in persons with physical and psychological disabilities.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
