Binder Operator

Overview

Sheridan MN is seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Large Machine Operator to join our Brainerd, MN facility. In this vital role, you will be a key player on our 2nd shift responsible for the set up and operation of large bindery equipment.

• Learn to set-up, run, and maintain all large bindery equipment as assigned including:
  Cutters, Folders, Stitcher, BF Case-In-Line, Kolbus Perfect Binder and KM-600 Perfect Binder.
• Read and understand work order verifying correct bind type, bulk, trim size, margins and run lengths.
• Set up machine and perform quality binding that meets expectations, lead by example.
• Follow daily running order provided by Scheduling Team.
• Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies and job changeovers.
• Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved.
• Perform preventative maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
