The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, their families, providers and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing practice. Care includes preventative, health‑maintenance, diagnostic, and treatment responsibilities, as well as coordination of resident assessment and education.

The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with job descriptions and competence.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team.
• Implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Coordinate resident care, assessment, and education.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks appropriately.

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing; multistate licensure acceptable.
• Maintain department‑specific competencies and certifications.
