Salon Business Consultant

Salon Business Consultant is a sales solution specialist role covering and growing a territory in and around Brainerd, Alexandria, St. Cloud, Nisswa, Park Rapids, Sartell, Little Falls, and Aitken, Minnesota. Ideal candidates reside in or near Brainerd, MN. The position offers uncapped commission, a vehicle reimbursement plan, and full benefits.

Open new doors and grow salon sales by using manufacturer education and sales resources. Meet and achieve assigned sales goals while promoting approved beauty products. Leverage social media to serve salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed beauty professionals.

• Grow the Business:
  Identify key accounts, develop and implement in‑salon promotions, determine customer needs, and communicate sales initiatives. Respond to all communications within 24 hours. Analyze accounts to decide brand support, education, and promotions needed. Call customers in person, comply with return procedures, and work with other business functions. Prospect new customers through cold calling, social media, and digital outlets. Manage administrative aspects, including daily order entry and maintenance of customer data in

  Act as a social‑media and digital platform expert; share knowledge with peers. Attend meetings, events, and shows; support new initiatives with a growth mindset.

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 1 year demonstrated outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with emphasis on consultative selling.
• Must live within the assigned territory.
• Working knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising (strong preference).
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram, and other social media platforms to build pipelines and business needs.
• Excellent computer skills; knowledge of , Outlook, PDF Expert, and Oracle. Experience with iPad is a plus.
• Ability to build an online community and create social connections, including search engines and internet tools.
• Require local travel within the territory, attendance at shows and conventions, and overnight travel or weekend nights.
• Frequent and prolonged periods of driving are necessary.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting rooms, retail stores, residences, and commercial vehicles. The job requires driving, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
