We are supporting a high-performing secondary school in Chelmsford looking for an enthusiastic General Science Teacher to cover a maternity leave from January. This role provides an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a strong, well‑resourced science faculty.

• Teach General Science across KS3‑KS4 following departmental schemes of work
• Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that foster scientific understanding
• Track and assess student progress, providing targeted support when needed
• Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and enrichment activities
• Maintain high standards for behaviour, participation, and academic progress

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
• Confident classroom management and effective communication skills
• Passionate, motivated, and committed to student achievement
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Daily rate of £170 - £240, paid weekly via agency
