Early Years Educator

Position: Early Years Educator Based
Teacher Active is proud to be working with a number of well-established and nurturing nurseries in Braintree, who are seeking passionate, reliable, and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join their teams. These settings are committed to providing high-quality early years education, offering warm and supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are looking for caring, confident, and enthusiastic individuals with a genuine passion for early years development and learning through play. Whether you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or you have hands-on nursery experience without formal qualifications, we welcome your application.

A range of roles are available to suit your needs — including flexible day-to-day cover, long-term placements, and permanent opportunities. Each nursery offers a collaborative and child-centred atmosphere, valuing creativity, curiosity, and positive relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating activities in line with the EYFS framework

Support children’s learning and development through play, interaction, and observation

Act as a key person, developing strong relationships with children and families

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold high standards of care and education

Follow safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies at all times

Requirements:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (or equivalent), or relevant experience in a nursery or early years setting

A caring, proactive, and positive approach to supporting children

A genuine passion for early years education and helping children reach their full potential

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications, and the type of role offered.
