Overview
Job Title: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Location: Braintree, Essex
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: April
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of SEND provision
- Coordinating and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Supporting and advising colleagues on inclusive teaching strategies
- Monitoring the progress and wellbeing of students with SEND
- Liaising effectively with parents/carers and external professionals
- Be a qualified teacher with QTS
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be willing to complete it within the required timeframe)
- Have experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- A welcoming and supportive school community
- A dedicated and experienced inclusion team
- Strong leadership support and opportunities for professional development
